Our family originally formed the Pines Ranch nonprofit because we fell in love with the Pines Ranch and the nearby town of Westcliffe, Colorado. We formed this entity as a nonprofit to help preserve and protect this incredible property and help make it accessible to those who need it most.
The Pines Ranch has been privately owned since 1882. The current owners are ready to retire, and we want it to continue as a restful haven for years to come - welcoming people to the Colorado mountains for rest and a chance to experience the past.
Our organization began first with our family. Three generations who love the Colorado outdoors, history, and serving others. We live on-site and operate the property together. Between us, we have decades of experience in nonprofit management, historic preservation, small business development, event planning, and customer service.
Since we came to the Wet Mountain Valley in 2018, our organization has expanded to include extended family members, friends, and volunteers who share our passion for this historic property and enthusiasm for serving others.
